Semantics in HTML Part III - Toward a semantic web

Over at microformatique, I've just posted the third in my series of articles on semantics in HTML - a look at future developments in HTML semantics.

The articles attempt to address the issue of semantics in HTML in detail. What really is “semantics” in the context of the web, and more importantly HTML? Where does the semantics of HTML come from? Where will further developments to the semantics of HTML come from?

Hope folks might find it interesting (proof that some of us are hard at work while others go bowling ;-).
