Really running behind this week now, but hopefully you'll understnad why. First up, that which you have all been waiting for: week 8 of CSS Level 1 is now available. This week we learn the most basic techniques you can use for laying out a page with CSS by starting to look at the box properties.
And the reason for the delay?
WE04 Went Off
For those of you who couldn't make it down to Sydney for WE04 this year, I'm sorry to say you missed something pretty special. The energy, commitment, knowledge, enthusiasm and even irreverance of all our presenters really was so much greater than any of us had expected, and in a few words, the crowd loved it. We're all really proud to say that Sydney is now well and truly on the map if you're speaking about web standards, accessibility, and terrible weather :-(
But don't take my word for it, check out the blogs of some of our presenters.
As well as this though, we're publishing a lot of the materials from the conference at the WE04 site, so check it out. Of course, these materials probably only give a taste of what it was all about, because, afterall, we really want you to do your darndest to get down here next year. And do make sure you take any opportunites you get to see Dave Shea, Doug Bowman or Joe Clark speak: I can guarantee each of them will inspire and motivate you to get stuck into web standards development again with a fresh eye.
Hey there John,
conference was excellent and you guys should be very proud of the quality of each and every presentation... including yours - modest fellow!
